Korean Fried Chicken Is magic

What are some foods that represent Korea? There’s kimchi, bulgogi, bibimbap…but how about KFC – Korean Fried Chicken?
Korean fried chicken is not just regular fried chicken you have tried before. It’s fried chicken miracle.

Crunchier and Less Greasy

Korean fried chicken(chikin) is crunchier, juicier and more creatively seasoned than any other chicken could hope to be.
Korean fried chicken or KFC, usually called chikin ( from the English “chicken”) in Korea, refers to a variety of fried chicken dishes from South Korea, including the basic huraideu-chikin ( from the English “fried chicken”) and spicy yangnyeom-chikin ( “seasoned chicken”).
Korean fried chicken differs from typical American fried chicken because it is fried twice; the skin is, therefore, crunchier and less greasy.
Korean Fried Chicken is seasoned or marinated prior to cooking. Also, chickens in Korea are smaller in size than those in the U.S. so chefs tend to cook the whole bird in a light batter that becomes super crispy when fried. There are many different types of Korean fried chicken, aka KFC, but the best-known version is chicken coated in a spicy-sweet sticky coating. It’s easy enough to make at home.

The Best Beer Buddy In This Planet

Chicken is sometimes enjoyed with soju, a Korean spirit, but most often, it is consumed with beer. Koreans combine the word for chicken (chikin) with beer (maekju) for a noun that takes on special event status in the word chimaek. In addition to the thousands of South Korean restaurants specializing in chimaek, the beverage is celebrated with annual festivals and Instagram posts of people fisting beer and drumsticks. We wonder if there is a better combination.

At the end of the day, who doesn’t love some ChiMaek: chicken and beer? Korean fried chicken is loved by many around the world and truly is a special dish of Korea.
